Over the years that followed, 3 sons and 2 daughters, joined the family.

Growing up on a starship has it's advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is that you know just about everyone. One disadvantage is that you know just about everyone.

Parker, as well as his brothers and sisters, all attended the ship's school. The curriculum was mostly standard Federation, but occasionally, the students were allowed to beam down to the worlds that the ship was orbiting. These worlds were Federation worlds, and some uninhabited worlds.

In the school, Parker's grades were amongst the highest.

Some of the older students were allowed to work in certain departments of the ship. Parker had expressed interest in the engineering and operations departments, so the captain granted him the opportunity.

His engineering assignment started with a briefing, which consisted of the rules and regulations. His tour consisted of being partnered with a junior engineering officer, which consisted of repairs and diagnostics.

His operations assignement also started with a similiar briefing, and his work involved monitoring the ship's systems, as well as running diagnostics.

So when Parker was born, his destiny was to follow in his fathers footsteps. He studied hard in the ship's school, as did his brothers and sisters.
When he turned 17, he applied to the Academy, and was accepted. Years later, his siblings also applied and were all accepted. Marcus choose security, Lyle and Peter, choose operations, and Leslie and Angel choose medicine.

When he arrived at the academy, he checked into his quarters, met his roommate, a Bolian, received his uniforms, and his academy schedule.

Parker choose engineering as his major, with a minor in operations.

In addition to his classes, he choose some sports to join. Track, archery, fencing and gymnastics.

Parker studied hard. He didn't attend many parties, choosing to study.
