| Physical Description | Harleigh has an hourglass build, slightly round shoulders, and a petite, defined waist. She usually leaves her long, blonde hair down on duty unless she’s into something where it will get in the way. Harleigh is also a self-prescribed foodie. So it’s important for her to be able to try new food and enjoy comforting meals while keeping a good body. She likes to stick to healthy meals during work, letting herself indulge during time off. Despite it all, she keeps herself in good shape. Her go-to workout is full of cardio moves, bodyweight exercises, and yoga-inspired stretches to tone the body in multiple ways. |

| Personal History | Harleigh's parents gave her up for adoption when she was an infant. So she has no memory of them. Six weeks later, the seventeen month old was adopted by a civilian couple, Doctor Thomas Kane and his wife, Martha. Harleigh Bree officially took on their last name and became Harleigh Bree Kane. Harleigh was the Kane’s only child and only adoption. As a result, the little girl had everything she ever wanted as she grew up on the New France colony. Being raised in the home of a medical doctor, Harleigh heard a lot about medicine from her father and even some of the things he'd been doing in the hospital. Her interest in such things piqued around her freshman year of high school. Harleigh started asking questions about some of the surgeries and procedures and things her father did. Thomas answered her questions for the next couple of years. Then he arranged for her to talk to some of the staff at the hospital. That turned into regular meetings twice a month. Harleigh learned many things about the medical field during her time in high school. But that didn’t stop her from having fun and going to parties. During high school, she was called 'the poor little rich orphan' and other, nastier, things by a few of the girls. Some simply ignored her while others were drawn to her. Most didn’t really care. She became known as a hard catch among the boys and even teased them on occasion. Though, she did go out on a date with a couple of them. She enjoyed one date in particular. Harleigh learned that the guys had a pool going as to whether or not the parrises squares champ could get a date with her. She ended up with a little over half of the take and a really nice dinner as part of the deal. At the beginning of her senior year, Harleigh started to think about what she wanted after graduation. There were several opportunities for her including college. But Harleigh still didn't think much of a regular college. She really liked the learning she’d done with her father. Her parents encouraged her that if she wouldn't go to a regular college or medical school, to join Starfleet and go through their training. She could be in the profession she wanted, get a higher education, and see the galaxy. Harleigh liked that idea and applied. Starfleet Academy was bound to be different than regular old college. She wasn't exactly at the top of the acceptance list, but she still made it. Nor was she at the top of any list throughout her four years of Academy training. Well, any list that mattered to the administration, that is. She then went on to complete four years of training at Starfleet Medical School and was immediately assigned to the USS Black Hawk-B in the Gamma Quadrant. Harleigh has yet to start her Medical Residency, but dreams of it being at Starfleet Command Hospital on Earth. That dream, however, might not come to pass since she’s going to be stuck in the Gamma Quadrant. |
