Physical Description		Short and petite, Emily is quite attractive, though she takes little notice of her looks. She gets a thrill from causing men to stop their actions and gawk, but makes no effort to go out of her way to make this happen.

Personal History		The Carters were part of a deep space expedition, leaving Earth at the height of World War Three along with nearly 50 others. The navigational systems were damaged just after launch and were never repaired. For nearly 80 years, the vessel traveled at sublight speed. Many of the passengers cycled through cyrostasis to perserve the supplies meant for both the trip and colonization on another world. Nearly twenty percent of the passengers, not including those who died of natural causes, perished during the journey. The Carters were the only family to survive intact the entire voyage. The expedition finally located a suitable planet near the Badlands and landed. The colony thrived in isolation until the Cardassian War. They did not see occupation by the Cardassians, but for a brief while, their colony was used as a Maquis base. After both the Cardassian and Dominion War, the colony was frequented by Federation and Bajoran transports, bringing along all sorts of new influences and ideas. Emily was the first of the Carters to not know life in isolation, having been born during the Cardassian War. She was always ready to see life beyond the colony and immediately enlisted in Starfleet upon coming of age. After graduation, Emily has spent her entire service in the Gamma Quadrant. She was transferred aboard the Black Hawk just a couple weeks before Commander Geisler assumed command. In early 2388, Emily had been influential in recovering computer records from an attacked freighter. The accolades prompted her to give up the red uniform and transfer to an Operations role as a Computer Systems Specialist. :: Unofficial Record :: Petty Officer Carter is not who she seems.
