| Physical Description | Emma is quite slight and skinny with bony shoulders, prominent collarbones and straight limbs that are adorned with quite a few tattoos. She has a wavy bob of Henna'd hair, prominent, sharp eyebrpws and her eyes are a dull brown, surrounded by long lashes. She has an obvious cleft chin, but that doesn't detract from what is overall quite a pretty facade. Being from Nevada Emma is usually cold aboard ship, so her rock-chick black jeans and tank tops are often covered by some sort of hoodie, jumper or jacket. She doesn't look scruffy, but she also isn't formally dressed most of the time. On formal occasions she might rock a halterneck dress with some alternative prints or patterns. |
Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Emma is kind, caring, empathic and is a good listener. She's also highly intelligent and really quite sarcastic, but in a very loving way. She'll always make time for people and will go to great lengths to help them if she can, without really asking for anything back. While Emma is cordial and friendly to everyone and often great fun, her heart not easily touched. She uses sarcasm and humour to keep people just outside of her inner circle where they could really hurt her, largely because of her relationship with her mother. The only real exception to this is her wife. One of the many reasons Emma married Fearne was because she knows Fearne would never intentionally hurt her, push her or manipulate her. Despite being just slightly closed-off she's charismatic and magnetic as a person and is rarely disliked. |

| Personal History | Emma was born in Sacramento California in 2366. Her mother and father weren't really very well suited if truth be told and split after a tumultuous couple of years in 2370 when Emma was four. Initially Emma lived with her mother in California, but their personalities were somewhat at odds. Emma's mother was pushy and driven and wanted Emma to really make something of herself, but Emma was more like her father, intrspective and happy to be respected and liked as a person, enjoying a calmer pace of life. By 2375 Emma and her mother clashed more and more and once the war was over Emma went to live with her father in Tonopah, Nevada. Emma never really excelled at school or was particularly interested in Academia and her father didn;t push her, even as much as he might have knowing the relationship she had with her mother. Not really caring much for achievement Emma went through her teenage years with a small group of friends in the small town, being very attached to her father and being somewhat of a tag-team, helping him around their small property and, when she was of legal age to do so, in the bar he owned and ran in the town. It was there in 2389 she met her now wife Fearne. Fearne was stationed at the local Starfleet weapons testing facility and happened by the bar looking for a good time on a day off. She and Emma bonded over the space of a few months and at length were married at a ceremony in Fearne's home town of Wheathampstead in England. Now as a married couple Emma has joined her wife on her posting to the USS Black Hawk, and decided to take on the role of lounge manager, to which she will hopefully be quite well suited. |
