What Do You Know?

Mission: Imposters Among Us
Location: Administration
Timeline: July 8, 2390 || 1500 hours

The corridor leading to Administration still carried the faint scent of scorched circuitry, remnants of the chaos that had gripped the Black Hawk just hours prior. Lieutenant Mitchell moved with purpose, her boots echoing softly against the floor. The ship had settled into a tense calm, systems mostly restored, crew still shaken but steady.

As she passed the bulkhead near the Yeoman’s office, she slowed, eyes flicking toward the closed door. She wondered if the Captain’s Yeoman, ever sharp and quietly observant, had pieced together the threads of what had transpired. Shay knew better than most how information flowed aboard a ship like this—especially when the Commodore and Chief of Intelligence were involved.

Mila stood in the middle of a group of Yeoman, a stack of PADD's being distributed among them, along with orders on where they were to go. "Miniz, Engineering. D'oth, Science, Ch'Eng, Operations. Go!"

The Yeomans scattered, parting around Shay like she was just another obstacle to be overcome by the simplest means possible.

The Master Chief took a breath and moved to the next report when the color of a gold uniform caught her attention. She turned and saw Shay Mitchell from Security standing there and took another breath. "Is everything being okay, Lieutenant? she asked. "Is Security also missing logs?"

"Not that I'm aware of," Shay answered, wondering if now was the right time given how busy things seemed to be. "I was wondering if you were aware of what is currently going on?"

"Which things? Reports vanishing? Holograms attacking? Sabotage? Report of Commodore and Joey being arrested?" The last made her look so distressed that she grabbed a PADD off of her desk and uselessly punched at it.

"Commodore and Commander Geisler," the Acting Assistant Security Chief clarified. "I only just found out myself, and I suppose you could say it was through the grapevine. Apparently, there are two of each of them."

The brunette Yeoman blinked as the PADD fell from her suddenly limp hand as the other hit it. "Two...?"

Shay nodded her head. "Yes, two. I don't know much more than that until I can track down Commander di Pasquale and get the details. I do know that one of the Commander Gieslers is in the brig."

"How is this being possible?" Mila asked, the PADD forgotten. "I am talking to Harvey and Joey almost daily. I am not seeing anything different." She looked at the picture of the twins on her desk that Joey had given her and had them help decorate. "How are my deti boga...god children...doing? Are they being safe? What is happening?"

"I wish I knew. When the Commodore ordered all nonessential personnel to abandon ship, I'm sure the twins would have been among the first to evacuate. I'm going to find Commander di Pasquale and find out more. Are you interested in going with me?" The young woman asked. "If you have time, that is."

"Da," Mila said without a second thought. She looked over at her assistant. "Muenz, take over," she ordered, then picked up the abandoned PADD and put it next to the picture of her god children. "Let us be going."

"Computer, what is the location of Lieutenant Commander Camila di Pasquale?" Shay asked as she turned to make her way out of Administration.

Mila followed behind her. "Why are we not going to see Joey?"

"Lieutenant Commander Di Pasquale is currently in the Security Complex." The computer intoned.

Shay looked toward Mila. "We will, but don't you want more answers before we do anything else? I think the Commander might have more answers to questions we both have."

"You are being right," Mila said. "It has been hectic day. Chow, come!"

With a sudden burst of energy, Chow sprang from the flickering terminal, his small frame arcing through the air like a streak of fur and motion. His limbs tucked in mid-flight, tail curling for balance, and he landed with practiced precision on Mila’s shoulder, gripping the fabric of her uniform with gentle dexterity.

Shay made her way to the turbolift and stepped inside, then cleared the way for Mila and Chow to step inside. "Hectic is an understatement. I honestly don't remember the last time this kind of chaos has broken out on the ship."

Mila walked beside of her with Chow on her shoulder and stepped into the turbolift with her. "I can and do not wish to again," she said.

"I don't think any of us wants to," she said before requesting deck twelve. "I just want a better understanding about what's going on."

"As do I," Mila said. "How? Who? What? When? There is being so many questions."

"There are indeed, and I think the Chief might be able to answer some of them."

"How does ship even get infiltrated? How are we not knowing who is who?" the Yeoman asked, doubtful that the Assistant Chief of Security knew the answers.

Shay didn't know the answers, but hoped that Camila would. "We'll hopefully know those answers soon enough," she said once the turbolift reached their requested deck.

MIla stepped out and looked down the hall where the Security Complex was. "I am not being sure that I am going to like anything." She said before she shrugged with Chow on her shoulder and headed down to the Complex.

Inside, the Andorian Security officer looked up and her antennae leaned forward in recognition of the Commodore's Yeoman and the Assistant Chief of Security. For a moment, she wondered if the Master Chief was a clone and under arrest, too. "Can I help you, Lieutenant, Master Chief?"

"Is Commander di Pasquale busy? We would like to speak with her if at all possible," Shay answered.

"If minutes were a commodity as the Ferengi view things, Commander Di Pasquale is a pauper," the Andorian quoted as she tapped on the inter-office intercom. "Chief, Mitchell and Rasputin are here to see you."

"Send them in," came Camila's voice. She hoped that the Commodore's Yeoman wasn't a clone being brought in as she checked through PADD after PADD for Security traces and the issues going on around the ship.

Shay guided Mila into Camila's office, stepping aside so the Captain's Yeoman could join them. "Commander, Master Chief Rasputin and I were wondering if you might have a few minutes to fill us in on what's going on? I heard from Lieutenant Frex that there are two of the Commodore and Commander Geisler."

Camila sighed. "Yes, and yes. How, I don't know. Razmena is the where. The why is that other universe we went to found a way here. They wanted back out. The what we're going to do is what we're trying to figure out."

Mila listened and gave a nod. "It is sounding very chaotic," she said. "Is there being a way to be talking to them?"

"I wouldn't recommend it," Camila said.

"Where are the real Geislers now, and where were they before all of this came to light?" The Acting Assistant Chief asked.

"They were being held at Unity from what they said. Commander Geisler was taken first, then Commodore Geisler was taken when I was away after the ship retrieved a alien craft." Camila said. "Right now? Commander Geisler is in Sickbay. Commodore Geisler should be in his ready room."

"What is being her state?" Mila asked.

"She didn't look good when I saw her, but she's a fighter," Camila answered honestly.

Shay frowned. She didn't know the Intelligence Chief very well, but planned to make her way to sickbay as soon as she could to see her. "Thank you for the update. I'll pay her and Commodore Geisler a visit soon and give them my regards."

Mila looked more distressed. "That has been weeks and I have been talking to imposter? How is it that I am not knowing it was not her?"

Camila had a frown on her face. "They tortured her for information with a Selemat and fed the information back to the clone on the ship."

"Tortured her?" Shay queried as her frown deepened. She couldn't even begin to imagine what kind of hell the real Joey went through. "I'm glad she made it back. It sounds like she and the Commodore are going to need a lot of support."

"I must see her," Mila said.

"For right now, she's in the recovery ward in Sickbay and she's not being allowed many visitors," Camila said. "But I'm sure she would like to see you, too."

"I am thanking you," Mila said.

"Thank you, Chief," her Assistant Chief said. "I'm going to get back to work. If you need me, let me know. Master Chief, I'll walk you out."

"You're welcome. I wish I could tell you more," Camila said. "I need briefed on more than half the things that have happened since I left and have another mountain of reports to compile while figuring out what's going on."

"I am understanding," MIla said and looked at Shay. "Shall we?"

"I'll help with what I can," Shay said before gesturing for Mila to head out first. "I know Commander Geisler will be happy to see you."

"Then I'll see you soon," Camila said as she turned back to the work in front of her.

With a nod, Mila headed out, anxious to see her friend. "As will I be happy to see her."
