Mission: Risky Business
Timeline: MD 6 || 1145 Hours

Camila entered the turbolift and while she waited for Lieutenant Langston, she tapped her combadge. =^=Di Pasquale to Cooper. We're on the way. What's your status?=^=

Cooper was jogging down the corridor to the TL for deck 12, "Just fried the force field I was stuck in and heading for the bridge." She had shifted the device so it once again hung on her back via a strap and had a phaser in her hand, taking no chances as constantly checked for movement. She ordered the TL to the bridge as she waited for a reply.

=^=Get to the shuttlebay on deck ten. We'll be arriving there soon. Di Pasquale out=^= Camila replied before she looked at Langston. "We'll at least have someone waiting to open it when we get there. Now let's get to the Mississippi and get over there."

"Oh good, I always like having a welcome party," Felix said, straightening the jacket on his uniform. He checked his phaser holster to make sure it was still there. "Let's just hope everyone else is asleep when we get there," he said.

"Understood, rerouting Chief." With a sigh orders a halt to the turbolift and sends it back down to deck 10.
She carefully but swiftly makes her way, using the tricorder to scan for life signs and movement just to be safe.

She arrives and sees a crewman slumped over a console so she carefully moves him to the deck some distance away. She does the same for the other crewmen in the room shuttle bay, taking care to place them far enough away but in her line of sight so if any them so much as twitch she can set off the device again. Humming the old song "Let the bodies hit the floor" she checked the systems relating to the shuttle bay then other systems as she could reach while she waited. The mission doing what it always did and focused her mind wonderfully, much of her attention and extra energy focused on some aspect of the mission. In general keeping herself busy until they arrived.

In route in the turbolift, Camila called for a few medics and four Security personnel to join them in the bay. Once they arrived at the shuttle bay, she looked at Langston. "This is your area of specialization, Langston," she said as she nodded towards the Mississippi as the medics joined them. "Let's get it on the road."

"Aye, El-Tee," Felix said as he sat down at the helm. He punched in a few commands and the ships engines whined to life. "You know, I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you, y'know, officially" he said. "What would you like me to call you?"

"Lieutenant Di Pasquale will suffice," Camila said as she, the Security personnel and the medics boarded the Danube class runabout. "Lieutenant Cooper will be ready for us once we arrive. Be glad we don't have to land on a ship that was spinning like the Chimera was."

"Aw, where's the fun in that?" Felix asked. He looked back and double checked that the crew had boarded. He heard the hatch close and entered more commands into the helm console. The Mississippi rose gently to face the shuttle bay doors. He throttled up and the runabout exited the bay, following his every command. "So, Lieutenant Di Pasquale," Felix said. "Where are you from?"

"Security," Camila said and looked over at the Flight Chief. "This really isn't a good time for a get to know you session, Lieutenant. We're on our way to secure a ship which was controlled by the Consortium. A ship that was firing on us just minutes ago. My Assistant Chief and my Security Investigation Officer risked their lives to take these ships down and I'm really not in the mood for idle chit chat. Now if you can fly us to the Cochrane in one piece, I'd really appreciate it."

"Sorry Lieutenant, I was just trying to lighten the mood a little," Felix said. Wow, great move there, flyboy he thought to himself. You just managed to anger the Chief of Security, who by the way, is armed to the teeth. Good one. "Course laid in, Lieutenant Di Pasquale," he said. "If I have anything to say about it, we'll get over to the Cochrane with nary a scratch."

"I apologize, Lieutenant Langston," Camila said, feeling a bit bad. "My nerves and department have been stretched thin for days and it's even thinner now that we have personnel on the Chimera and taking a group to the Cochrane. I'll make it up to you later."

"It's ok, L-T," Felix said as he maintained the current course. "I can't imagine what you're going through. For what it's worth, I think your team is tops and you've done a good job training them. And I enjoy either beer or bourbon, your choice when we get back to the Black Hawk."

The ship shook as Felix tried to steadily guide the Mississippi through the nebula to the Cochrane. A flashing proximity alert began to show itself on the helm console. "Looks like we're coming up on the Cochrane," Felix said. "Any preference on a landing spot?"

"As long as it isn't splattered against the side of the ship, I don't have any real preference other than the shuttle bay," Camila said.

"Aye, ma'am," Felix said with a smirk. "Approaching shuttle bay doors now."

Felix deftly guided the Mississippi into the landing bay. Upon entering, he felt the Cochrane's internal gravity take over and compensated the shuttle's controls to match. With a couple more commands, the runabout's landing gear deployed. The Mississippi came to a soft rest on the floor of the shuttle bay and with a slight lurch and hiss of the pneumatics on the landing gear, completed its landing procedure.

"Touchdown," Felix said. "Let's do this."

Camila wasted no time getting out and gave a nod to Cooper. "Good work, Lieutenant. If you have any injuries, we have medics," she said as the medical and Security personnel came out behind her. "Langston, you and me need to get to the Bridge to meet up with the Black Hawk. Security personnel, Beta Four. Medics, with us. Cooper, stay with the runabout. We'll be bringing the senior staff down to evacuate them back to the ship."

"I'm fine...stay with the runabout?" the tone vaguely like what a child uses when told no they can't come to the really cool place and have to babysit their little brother or something but she was a professional, "Yes Ma'am.." managing not to sulk, go adultness. The order made sense, just because she had more energy than was good for her didn't change that. She nodded a greeting Lt. Langstrom, "Any news on Lt. Corwin?" She hadn't wanted to disturb anyone by asking during a tense situation but she was really curious how her counterpart had done. Managing also not to bounce on her feet, something she'd been doing when she'd been alone that and rushing about.

"The Chimera was taken. That's as much as I know," Camila said as she motioned for Langston to join her, the other medics and Security in the turbolift. The tone of her Assistant Chief's voice wasn't missed, but she chose to overlook it for the time being. There was more important things to do than console a adult who wanted to sulk.

Felix nodded as he joined the team in the turbolift. It was a tight fit with the whole team in there at once. "I'm sure she's okay," he said weakly, hoping to offer some kind of platitude, as he really didn't know.

"Thanks Chief," She said, happy for any news and gave a grateful smile to Langstrom before turning to the bay. After they left she contacted a friend on the Black Hawk and he was able to give her details, that Lt. Corwin was in sugery, thats all he knew. With the sound of concern her voice she thanked him and closed the comm then began to prepare the shuttle for their guests. Mostly comfortable places to lay them but still some security had to be done.

When the turbolift came to a half on the bridge, Camila exited with her phaser in hand but all she saw was slumped over bodies. She motioned for the medics to check for any injuries while she had two Security personnel with her start checking the uniform collars for rank. She was pleased when she found the Captain, a Bajoran man and the other senior bridge officers were also present. "Lieutenant Langston, take the helm and get us back to Black Hawk."

Felix came out of the turbolift with the rest of the team and immediately made his way to the helm console. Being back at an Intrepid-class helm brought back memories of his assignment on the USS Ithaca, but there was a lot more action here. "Aye, ma'am, bringing her about," he said as he sat down at the console. His hands performed the old familiar dance routine as the Cochrane moved to join the Black Hawk, this time as her ally.

=^=Di Pasquale to Black Hawk. The Chimera is secure and we have the senior staff. We'll be on our way back soon.=^= Camila reported. With that, she had the remaining Security and Medical personnel go to the Medical bay on the ship to retrieve the CMO and check for any injured people there who needed immediate treatment.

=/\= "Acknowledged, Lieutenant," =/\= replied Captain Geisler over the comm. =/\= "Get the senior staff to the brig as soon as you're aboard. I'll have Doctor Road and a medical team meet you there." =/\=

=^= Acknowledged, Captain.=^= It was the work of a few minutes for Camila and the other personnel to identify the senior staff and a few more minutes to get them to the brig and secured. =^=The senior staff are secured. Lieutenant Langston has the helm and we'll meet with Black Hawk shortly.=^=
