While she was in Medical, Camila looked at the biomonitor on her arm and decided she needed to go see Doctor Abrams and explain why it had probably gone off half a dozen times by now. The thing was designed to alert Medical, not the patient and she knew the gigantic doctor would probably have words for her, but she had a duty to fulfil, but she wasn't looking forward to the meeting.

With a sigh, the honey blonde acting XO headed into the common area of Medical and asked a passing nurse where Doctor Abrams was. She was pointed towards Medical Lab One and she thanked the nurse and headed towards the lab with a feeling of dread settling into the pit of her stomach. At the doorway, she contemplated turning around and bolting, but had a feeling that wouldn't make it any easier when he did contact her, so she pressed the access chime and waited to be yelled at.

Lucas looked up from what he was doing when he caught movement out the corner of his eye. He'd been getting reports from a few of the nurses that Lieutenant Di Pasquale's biomonitor had gone off various times throughout the day, and he planned to hunt her down to find out why she wasn't heeding his orders. Sadly, work claimed him. The large man hadn't had a chance to leave the lab for a couple of hours much less hunt down the Chief of Security.

It seemed he didn't need to do that. She was standing on the other side of the door, which made his job so much easier. "Come in, Lieutenant. I've been meaning to speak to you," he said.

"I figured, Doctor Abrams," Camila said. "As much as I would like to apologize to you, I've recently been made acting Executive Officer of the ship and have been briefing senior staff in an attempt to get an assessment on the condition of the ship and crew. I know that I'm just as important as everyone else and I've been taking breaks between visits, but I had a lot to do. I turn myself over to your mercy as my shift is now over."

"Jestral tea," the Behemoth said, looking down at Camila with a sympathetic smile. While he wanted to chew her out, how could he when she was placed in her current position by the Captain himself? "It will help reduce some of the anxiety and stress you might be feeling."

"Jestral tea?" Camila couldn't have been more thrown off than if the behemoth doctor had hit her with one of his ham-sized fists. She blinked and listened to him. "I come down here to throw myself at your mercy...and you're suggesting tea?"

"What would you have me do, Lieutenant? Put you over my knee and spank you for not following orders?" Luc asked, cocking her head to the side. "That wouldn't do either of us any good considering what's going on right now. The Captain needs help, and you were obviously the best choice for the job, otherwise he wouldn't have chosen you for the job. The tea will help you so that you're able to help him."

Camila laughed. "No, there's no need to spank me, Doctor," she said. "I doubt my boyfriend would like that very much, so I'll take the jestral tea and spend the rest of the evening taking it easy. I do have a meeting to go to early in the morning, so I'll drink the tea and contemplate how bad I've been."

"That sounds like a good plan to me, Lieutenant. If you need me for any reason, you know how to reach me, but I think you'll be okay. Light duty was more of a precaution that anything else. If you find yourself getting winded, though, sit down so you can catch your breath."

"Right now, I just want to lay down, close my eyes and try to forget this is happening for a short time," she said, even though she saw Temerant when she did close her eyes and heard his last words to her. "Will the tea help me sleep as well?"

"It should help," he replied. "I can give you something to help if you'd like."

"As long as it helps," Camila said. "I'd prefer not to dream, either, but I read somewhere that REM sleep is required as a way to help the mind sort out the problems of the day and allows us to get a better night of sleep."

Lucas frowned. "Sadly, I don't know much about REM sleep," he said honestly. "Have you considered talking to one of the counselors about some of the things that have been going on? I'm sure they'll be able to help in some way."

"I did this morning briefly, but I haven't been to sleep since then," she said. "I'll be okay and I certainly don't need to become dependant on external medications to help me sleep. I'll get some of the Jestral tea and try to relax as much as I'm able to and I'm sorry that if I caused you any inconvenience."

"Understandable. The offer stands if you need it, though," the large man said, offering her a polite smile. "Go get some rest, and as I said, if you need me, you know how to get in touch with me."

"I will and I promise," Camila said, seeing the rest of what he said as an order. "Thank you, Doctor Abrams and I will." With that, the acting Executive Officer left and headed back to her quarters after dropping off some PADDs for the Captain along the way of the reports she had gotten throughout the day.
