Mission: Crossing Over
Location: Deck 11
Timeline: MD 35 || 0835 hours

====Deck Twelve====

Shay fought to get the door to the Security complex open for what is seemed like an eternity, and now, she and some of the others were finally free. Free to what... she had no idea, but the fact the young woman was wearing a belt around her waist with nifty gadgets in it made her feel a bit better. Granted, she didn't know what any of them really did, but would fund out if the need came.

"Let's see what waits for us out there," the Ensign said, her brows furrowing with how ominous the corridor looked. Were they about to be thrown into a living nightmare? There was only one way to find out, and as she thought that, Shay made her way out of the unfamiliar area and into the unknown.

Walking out into the corridor. Winchester was filled with dread. He could smell smoke and the acrid smell of burnt wiring. The corridor itself was barely lit, the only source of light a faint red blinking one off in the distance. Rubbing his hand across his head, he could feel wetness and could tell he was still bleeding and knew he would have to fix that soon. taking one last look both ways, he turned his head to the unknown woman and said, "Which way you want to go?"

"I guess it doesn't matter considering we don't know what's waiting for us in either direction," Shay said, wincing at the smell that hung in the air. "Let's go this way." And little did she know as she began to cautiously make her way down the corridor that she code the direction of the flight deck. Well... one part of it.

"Alright" Winchester said, falling in step beside her. As they walked, he asked her, "So who do suppose we are, and where do you suppose we are?" As he waited for her her to answer, he looked at the the destruction around him. Wires hanging out of the wall, some of which were still sparking. Displays on the walls that had been blown out, scorch marks on the walls. All in all, it looked as though a war had been fought here.

"I... I don't know," she answered with a frown. Shay didn't know who she was... who he was... where they were... nothing. It was a confusing experience, and one she hoped would remedy itself at some point. But... was this normal for them? She didn't have the answer to that, either. As they moved forward, she kept her guard on high alert. "Hello!? Can anyone hear me!?"

When no answer came, the young woman looked toward the large man who served as her companion for the moment. What was he? While she wanted nothing more than to ask, she decided pressing forward was a must. "Let's keep moving... see if we can find others. Do you have any suggestions?" she asked, wondering if there was more to this place than what they could see.

"Now how do you suppose we do that when we have no idea where were are, who we are, or anything thing else for that matter?"

"If I knew, I wouldn't have asked for suggestions, would I?" Shay asked with a frown. She felt around on the belt around her attention waist, noting that none of it felt familiar, but each item had to have a purpose. Taking a chance, she pulled a device from it and felt the switch, nearly blinding herself when the light illuminated right in her face. "Ugh... that sucked."

After blinking a few times, she shined the light around her when something caught her eye. "Turbolift... what in the hell?" she mused as she moved toward the closed doors. "Lift... maybe this leads somewhere. Do you think you can open these doors?"

The two fought with the door for what felt like an eternity before finally getting it open. Wherever they were seemed to be sealed tighter than a frog's backside in water. Still, they'd managed and were now on their way up to the next deck. There was a fight with those doors as well, which proved to be a bit trickier given there was no solid ground for them to stand in, but like before, their persistence won out in the end.

Now, they found themselves standing on another deck entirely that was in the same shape the previous one had been in. Shay pushed those thoughts from her mind as she trekked forward, coming to an area that looked... hell, she didn't know what it looked like. "Let's see what we can find here."

====Deck Eleven, Flight Deck====

Terry had resumed his search through the large open area. He was reading what signs or labels he came across, not that it mattered. He didn't know what they meant anyway. He'd found several broken screen things around the floor along with all kinds of items. For all he knew, they could have been tools or paperweights. "Hey Red! Find anything useful?"

Gemma was carefully lifting debris and trying to find something useful. It looked like a puzzle jumble, bits of things she couldn't ID everywhere. It was getting increasingly frustrating, she would query her mind and her mind would basically shrug back. She left along anything that looked dangerous not wanting to accidentally set something off. As Baldy called out she was examining a PADD with a flickering screen, "Not sure..." She picked up the PADD to study it, "Some kind of equipment list I think, that useful to you Baldy?" She called over.

The big hairless man walked over to Red and took the flickering screen thing. He examined it as best he could between flickers. "Yeah, I'd agree. It looks like it lists a bunch of equipment. Though, I don't recognize any of it." His glance fell to the bottom of the list. "Looks like someone called Lieutenant Commander Walsh agrees with us, too. Wonder who he, or she, is," he said, glancing at Red. "Hey, maybe that's you."

"Lt. Commander Walsh". She mused aloud, trying it on for size. It was like something she heard before but couldn't place the context. She looked over at baldy, "could be, could be someone I know. Does any of this equipment look familiar to you?" She said just as eager for more names as she was for clues to where they were. She mentally repeat the name Walsh to herself a few times, not wanting to lose it.

"Well," he said, "not really. But I'm starting to get this gut feeling that it's a part of me somehow. At least those things," he added, gesturing to the craft he was nearest. "It's weird." He moved a few pieces of smaller equipment and devices. But he kept looking back.

"I know what you mean" She said eyeing one of the nearby craft. "I really feel as though I should know more of them." She glanced at Walsh, "Let's check one out maybe it'll trigger a memory or something, we'll be careful." She said looking at the craft again. It almost called to her, she'd been focused on finding clues but now that he'd pointed out the craft she just wanted to get near it.

"Same here," he said. "And I think we should be careful. We can't remember a thing about them." He picked the closest craft and started to walk around it, checking it out. About halfway through, he paused and wondered why he did that. He had no idea what he was looking for, but it felt natural.

Shay moved further into the area and spotted a couple individuals. There were others, and right now, she didn't know if that was a relief or not. "Hey... I don't suppose you knows were we are?" she asked, hoping the large man was still with her.

Gemma had went to the craft when Terry did but started on the opposite side. At one point resting her hand on the smooth craft cover. She felt something settle in a comforting fashion, she didn't know why but this felt right. She heard a voice and turned to see a woman with dark brown hair in a uniform that was different but had the same 'arrow' on the front as her own did.

Terry looked over before he started to climb the ladder. He was really hoping that they would figure something out first.

"What the hell do we do now?", Winchester said angrily.

Kelly tentatively looked out of the latest hatch they had emerged from and stepped out. "I wonder where we are now?" she asked as she looked around.

Aurilia came out after her and looked back at the big man. "I don't know how you fit in these tubes, but you're doing really well," she told him.

Luc looked up to Aurilia just as Kelly climbed out. He wasn't doing as well as Red may have thought thanks to his banged up knees, but he wasn't about to correct her. "I'm not sure if this is something I used to do on a regular basis, though. It's a pretty tight fit." he said, coming to the opening and pulling himself through. He couldn't wait to be on solid ground and hoped he wouldn't have to contort himself inside one of those things again for some time. "That's not something I want to do again any time soon."

Kelly looked around and saw several large craft with other people wandering around in a daze and looking like her, Red and the tall man she was with. "I don't think we're going to find answers here, but those look really weird." She pointed at the fighters.

Aurilia stepped forward and felt a strange affinity for the craft, but had no idea what they were or how they looked. "Let's go see what we can see," she said as she looked back at Luc. "What do you say?"

Luc moved further inside and took a look around. Nothing about it looked familiar to him, nor did it seem like he'd even fit inside of one of those. "I think we're looking at what we can see," the large man answered. "But, I'm not opposed to looking around a bit."

The redhead shrugged and gave a nod. "I'm going to check out those whatever they are," she said as she headed towards one of the craft.

Kelly looked at the big man. "Shall we?"

Luc was already ahead of the others. "Hello?" he called, hoping to get the attention of someone moving about.

Seeing the big man already wandering off, the short brunette hurried to keep up in case someone tried to attack her, the box still in her hand. "Hey, Stilts! Slow down!"

Aurila looked back, but the fighters drew her attention and several other personnel in flight suits and some in red collared uniforms approached them. "Excuse me, but what are these?" she asked one of them. "And where are we?"

A blue skinned woman with antennae on her head and white hair looked up as someone spoke to her in an alien language. "Who are you people?" she responded in Andorian.

Luc arched an eyebrow. He didn't understand a word that was being said, nor did he recognize the blue skinned woman. This was going to be rough, but he'd have to do the best he could given their current situation. "We were hoping you might be able to tell us. This..." he said, pointing toward a fighter. "What is it?"

"I don't know what you're saying," Aurilia said to the blue skinned woman with antennae and gave a helpless shrug.

The Andorian looked at the fighter and her antennae leaned in that direction and she looked back at the tall pink skin, unable to understand him, either. She brought her hands up and shook her head, which she had seen others do when they couldn't understand her.

Kelly finally sat down on something and decided to see what was inside the box she was carrying to figure out why she was carrying it. Inside were small squares of something brown and soft with various colors across them and she hesitantly picked up one to sniff it and then gave it a lick. "Guys! Guys!" She exclaimed as she held the piece up. "You have to try these!" She offered the box to the giant.

Aurilia meanwhile spotted a very tall bald man next to a shorter redhead and motioned to the others. "Hey,there's some more people over there," she said.

Terry had only leaned over the side of the cockpit and was looking in. All of...whatever it was...screens and things...looked like they would display something. But he had no idea what that something was. He suspected that they must have needed a power source to show something. It seemed like everything thing they had run into needed power. There were the doors, the items they had picked up and moved around, and now these. Didn't seem very practical to him to have a lot of stuff around that didn't work.

He leaned back up when he heard new voices echoing in the great hall, as he'd come to call it. "Hey Red, check it out. There's new people. And another Red! Tell you what, you'll be Red One and she'll be Red Two." He paused a second. That...seemed almost natural and familiar at the same time. "Looks like they also have their own guard, too," he said referencing Luc. "And a short little brunette. Let's go see if they know anything more. And maybe find out where they came from. Place must be bigger."

Luc looked toward Terry and began to approach. "Do you know where we are? Or what these things are?"

"Aye Baldy, its a hell of a thing. Got guests coming out of our ears..." She said in accented English that sounded different from the others. The nicknames seemed fitting as she smiled politely but waited until Terry was ready to face the group since the large man seemed to address him and took a position to one of Walsh's sides. It felt natural as though something clicked into place.

Terry laughed and climbed down from the fighter.

Aurilia looked at the bald man and wondered why she felt like following whatever he said to a degree. "Do we know each other?" she asked.

Kelly snorted. "We don't even know ourselves. Why would we know each other?"

Terry moved towards the other big man. "I have no idea where we are," he said. "These...they're some sort of craft it looks like. They have seats in them." He then turned his attention to the brunette and other redhead. "Hey now, calm down spitfire. I'm sure we'll get around to that. As far as knowing each other, I'm not sure. For the most part, it looks like we're wearing the same color...jogging clothes...whatever these tight fitting things are. Anyway, we've been looking around for anything that might help us. Red One and I were just starting to check out the inside of those of things. You're welcome to join us."

===Deck Ten===

The duo had been crawling through various tunnels and walking through a seemingly endless series of corridors for some time. Thus far, his companion, the man with the decorated skin, had been quiet.

"I wonder what those spots on your neck are about," he wondered aloud. "Purely aesthetic? Are they naturally occurring?"

Arjin had been focussed on their exploration and the orders the man with the four decorations on his collar had given. So much he had not really paid attention to the man he was exploring with.

Hence he was surprised when his companion asked him a question. A question he did not know the answer to to be honest. Did he have spots on his neck? He had not yet watched himself in a mirror. So he had presuled he looked like most of the persons he had encountered.

True, he had seen others. Some with blue skin, some with pointy ears, some with ridges. So why could he not have any special features? Or maybe they were just tattoos? Or a sign of disease? Or an injury?

Hesitating he brought his left hand towards his neck and gave it a slight rubb. They seemed different to what tattoos or a rash should feel like. And he did not feel any pain when touching his neck.

Shrugging he responded to the question. "I don't really know. What do they look like? Red like a rash?"

"No," he responded. "At least, I don't think so. Not red. A brownish shade." He considered them a moment longer. "They might not serve any purpose."

"Good!", Arjin thought. "I would not like to be sick." Why was that? Did he have prior bad experiences with ilness? It should not matter. He had a job to do. Exploring this strange space.

"Where do you think we should go next? Further down these corridors? Or still lower?", he asked his compagnon.

He threw his hands up and shrugged. "This place is as much a mystery to me as it is to you." Looking back the way they'd came, and ahead towards the direction they had been walking. A dozen meters or so in front of them, the corridor branched. "Maybe we split up? Cover twice as much area," he offered.

"Hm. That is correct. But if we run into hostile persons we might find ourselves at a disadvantage.", he replied. "Your pick."

For some reason, somewhere inside him, the man with the red collar felt comfortable taking the lead. "Let's stick together," he told the man with the decorated skin. "This way." He began walking down the path to the right.

===[Flight Deck]===

Behind the gathering of people on the flight deck, next to a couple of the docked Gryphons, five columns of light appeared, depositing five brand new lifeforms into the massive chamber. These five did not wear the same clothing as the others, nor were any of them native to this strange vessel. In fact, all five were fully enclosed in an environmental suit. Not all five looked alike, and each of these suits were worse for wear. Each person was armed, but the weapons remained in the holsters. They stood still, just watching the group of aliens, hoping to learn more about what was happening with this unresponsive vessel.

Oblivious to the newcomers, Luc approached Terry and nodded his head. "We'll join you. Maybe we'll find something useful that can help us out."

Shay finally made her way onto the flight deck and saw the others that were dressed similarly to her and the fairly large man she'd woken up with. The others they'd encountered along the way were also dressed the same and didn't seem to have any recollection as to who or where they were. "I assume you all don't know much about yourselves, either?" she asked, closing the distance between them.

Gemma turned at the newcomers voice, once again seeing the now familiar uniform type. There seemed to be goodly number. She wondered what group they all represented as she replied, "Not much. We were just about to check the inside of these craft for more clues..." She thought a second then figured it couldn't hurt to ask, "Is a 'Lt. Commander Walsh', remotely familiar to anyone? We found this device with their name on it..." She held up the flickering inventory PADD.

While observing the aliens, one of the newcomers leaned against a toolbox. He was unaware that it was not a steady object, and was rudely reminded of such when a large wrench clattered to the floor. As there had been no loud noises in the massive room, this would surely alert everyone to their presence.

Even among the normal background noise of everyone moving around and talking, Terry heard the loud clang of something echoing in the huge room. He turned to see a group of beings that not only looked different than what he had seen so far, but also dressed differently. He turned and began to slowly approach the group. "Um, hello?" He said not quite sure where to begin.

The leader looked to the clumsy one to show his disproval. Their mission had been to observe and inspect, not interfere. Evidently it was too late for that. He withdrew from hiding and shone a flashlight on the person who spoke. But he did not speak.

Aurilia turned at the sudden noise and stared wide eyed at the newcomers. "Who.. what are you? " she asked.

Kelly spun around and nearly dropped the box she had been inspecting. "You can't have them!" she exclaimed and wondered why they couldn't.

Shay placed a hand on what she thought was a weapon when she heard the clang, her head whipping toward the five individuals that magically appeared. "How in the hell did you get here?" she demanded. If they were to have used the entrance, they would have been seen before now, so another means had to have been used.

Luc raised his hands and stepped forward with Terry. It seemed the question of the hour was who and what they were, so he didn't feel the need to ask that. Instead, he kept himself calm as he kept pace with the bald man. "Can you tell us where we are? Or maybe how we got here?"

Gemma moved to one side of Terry, off enough so the light wasn't directly in her eyes and tried to gain what clues she could visually since the others had already asked what she most wished to know. She did note a piece of metal debris near her hand just in case. Her mind automatically noting everyone's position.

The visitors looked strangely at these aliens. They could not understand their language, and though they could sense their feelings, it did not take telepathy to understand that they were frightened and potentially hostile. The leader, keeping his weapon holstered, but his hand nearby, attempted to communicate, sending a wave of emotion, a wave of calm and serenity, to the group.

Gemma blinked and her hand, near the metal pipe like piece of debris, dropped back to her side. "What am I doing?" She asked herself trying to order her thoughts as her emotions mellowed a little. She rubbed her eyes briefly and looked back at the group that had yet to draw weapons but had not yet left or communicated. "Can you even understand or hear us?" She asked as she tried to find reasons for the lack of reaction.

Shay lowered her hand away from the phaser at her hip, and kept her eyes on the beings in front of them. "If they could understand us, I'm sure they would have let on by now. As for hearing us... this odd sense of calm and serenity has to be coming from them. None of us can do that," she pointed out. "I think it's safe to say they aren't here to hurt anyone."

"Yeah, I thought I felt something like that," said the bald guy. "Still, I don't want to let our guard down all the way. Even if they're trying to soothe us." He looked over to the girl that just spoke. "What is that thing?" he asked, gesturing to the oddity at her waist.

"I'm not entirely sure what it is, but I've got a very strong feeling it can protect us," Shay replied.

The petite brunette with the box approached the armored figures carefully and held up the box of chocolates she was carrying. "Peace?" she offered.

Aurilia watched the short woman go up to the aliens and looked for something to use as a weapon if they attacked her. "What are you doing?" she hissed.

"What I would want someone to do to me," Kelly responded.

Two of the aliens tilted their heads slightly to the right wondering what this small person was doing. Was she a child? Was she offering them a toy? Their visors indicated that the objects she offered to them was some sort of solid food. The concentration of chemicals inside registered as toxic. Neither person panicked, but they did look to their leader for guidance.

The leader still did not understand these lifeforms. He could sense no hostility from the child, nor did he think she was intentionally trying to poison them. If anything, he sensed that she was attempting to communicate, attempting to visualize peace. Knowing how hazardous they were, and knowing that the natives possessed weapons, he reached out and accepted one of the food cubes. Holding it, he slowly nodded his head once.

When Shay replied, Gemma granted that made sense. She rubbed the knot at the back of her head and the conversations flowed around her as she tried to clear the wool again that seemed to flow into and out of her mind. It made it hard to think and the still present headache wasn't helping. When she settled again and focused on the visitors, the smaller woman was handing them something brown, small and square. Gemma straightened but the Suit, as she was calling them now, only nodded. Gemma wondered if they had anyone who could do the mind emotion thing back but not wanting to ruin the seemingly peaceful moment held her thoughts to herself for now.

Luc watched the interact between Kelly and the foreign beings. If there was any chance they meant to harm any of them, they would have likely done it by now. No... he had a feeling their presence here was for another purpose. What that was was still beyond him, but he was sure it would be revealed in time.

Kelly wanted to introduce herself but she didn't know who she was, but the sight of the alien accepting her offering pleased her. She picked up one of the candies from the box and made a show of putting it in her mouth and eating it, and felt like it was charging her system into overdrive. "Try it," she said and pointed at the piece the alien held.

"Maybe they're not trying it because of the suits they're wearing," Lucas said to the young woman. "None of them have made an attempt to take them off, which leads me to believe there's a reason for it."

Aurilia stepped forward and pointed at the fighters and looked back at the aliens. "Do you know what those are?" she asked.

Shay looked over to Aurilia. "I'm not sure they understand us."

"That may be the case," said Terry, "but it doesn't mean that we can't try to cautiously communicate with them." He put a reassuring hand briefly on Aurilia's shoulder as if that were natural and then walked up to the aliens. Standing beside the short brunette. He looked at the reflective face shield as he would have looked anyone in the eyes. With feelings of sincerity and inquisitiveness mixed with confusion, "We communicate with these," he said pointing to his throat and mouth and gesturing to the others around him. Remembering the waves of emotion from earlier, he pointed to the alien's head, "Do you communicate in your heads or minds?"

Shay was at a loss. The aliens couldn't understand what they were saying, nor could they communicate, and both were frustrating the hell out of her. She let out an exasperated sigh and shook her head. This all seemed hopeless. Turning on her heel, the young woman turned on her heel and began to make her way out. She needed to figure things out, and being here just wasn't working for her.

The leader cocked his head to the left, attempting to understand what he was saying. To him, it sounded like muffled and unintelligible mumbling. At least no one was hostile, nor did he sense any hostile thoughts, He looked at the spacecraft that the red-headed woman gestured to. He could sense uncertainty from her, as if they didn't know what composed their surroundings. If this were true, then this situation was certainly far worse than any of them thought.
